District Blended Learning Coach: Kris Edwards

Kris earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Michigan State and began her career in 1993 as a language arts teacher at a middle school in Texas. She earned a Masters of Science in Computer Education from the University of North Texas while working as a technology coordinator. In 2000, she began teaching technology at Liberty Middle School and served as the technology coordinator until moving into her current position.

District Blended Learning Coach: Nanci Meza

Nanci started her teaching career in Cherry Creek at Cherokee Trail High School as a Language Arts teacher, working primarily with 9th and 11th grade.  She also served as the yearbook adviser for 2 years. She has been trained as an IB instructor and worked in the program for four years. She received a BA in English Lit/Secondary Education from CU-Denver and completed a Masters degree in Educational Technology through Lesley University in 2011.

District Digital Learning Coordinator: Amber Paynter

Amber began working in Cherry Creek Schools in 2000. She spent 8 years at Laredo Middle School where she served as the Social Studies Department Coordinator and taught Social Studies and AVID.  Her passion for history matches her love of technology.  She received a BA in History from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado.

District Blended Learning Coach: Jay Vean

Jay began his teaching career in 2000.  His first 12 years were spent in Aurora Public Schools: five as a 4th and 5th grade teacher and the past seven as an Educational Technology Coach for the district. He has a Master’s degree from University of Colorado-Denver in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from (then named) Metropolitan State College of Denver.
